Pink Hat

My model loves her new hat, that she had to be silly and have the tongue out while posing before school today.  I had plenty of yarn left over from the baby blanket I made my friend....so this is sooo soft!!

Recent Knits

This was a small baby blanket I made my friend for her lil one, before she came into the world, almost a year ago.  It took me awhile to do this one, since I was following a pattern which for me was alot, and I frogged the darn thing a few times cause of a mistakes.  Then I figured out how to fix the mistakes without frogging the whole entire project!  But that was like after the 6th time or so  :( !

This scarf was out of boredom and was used out of some scrap yarn I had. I have no idea what I used the other part of the yarn for.

Other knit 1st's

These were my 1st other things I knitted, also in '07.  My daughter my model and who I knitted them for.
This yarn was such a splurge...I still have a few skeins left.  Knits so easy, 52% wool and 48% acrylic.  The colors, in my opinion, are amazing, and flow.

I made this back in '07 as well, but I forgot to take pics, so I made my 'model' model for me.  This was an easy knit.  And the pattern of colors was total accidental greatness!  I used 3 strands when I knit so it is very warm!

My start of knitting

I started knitting in 2007.  I had gone into an arts and crafts store and saw that a group of ladies got together and knitted and crocheted together.  One of the ladies was patient with me and she taught me the knit and purl stitches.  Things happened in my life, alittle difference in opinions in the group, my seperation from my now ex-husband, divorce from him, and life in general.  But now I knit on my own and try to find others with common interests.
This one was my very 1st scarf...not so bad.

I don't remember what number this was, but it was longer than how tall I am.

This one was so fun and the colors were cute, a friend of mine absolutely loved it when she saw me knitting it and had to have!

I dabbled and made my own 'bamboo' pattern.

An online friend saw my scarves and asked that I make her one, she lives in Wa.  She took pics said she loved it because of the color and length.

I was in a local knitting group and we were given yarn and needles to make hats, scarves and wraps for those who had cancer.  Since I didn't know how to make anything else, I made scarves!

New

I am new to this.  I am pretty new to knitting and trying to teach myself to become more advanced, with the help of some online references and friends.
